People serving the country in different military structures often have to spend a lot of time away from their beloved family and friends. This means they often miss on important celebrations, birthdays, and other events that are best spend together as a family.
Marine Staff Sgt. John York knows how hard it is to be away from your family and deal with the thought that you’re not going to be there during some of the most important events happening in his family’s life.
The man only had a-10 days of pre-deployment leave before he would have to say goodbye to his wife and young son once again for a long time. So he wanted to do something special for his kid. Knowing he won’t be able to be with his son for the actual Halloween holiday, the man took his son trick and treating. He also made arrangements so they can spend their version of Christmas together.
Sometimes, the actual calendar dates for important holidays don’t match our plans, but what this dad did for his son is truly a sign of love.
