What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about fishing? Well, for many people, it’s the image of a man relaxing by the side of the water, sitting in a comfortable chair, and just waiting for a fish to bite the bait. I don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to catching fish using a rod, but from what I’ve heard, it can take a lot of time until you have the chance to actually catch a fish.
That means that’s typically a lot of waiting involved in this hobby. I get why many people would find this activity relaxing. It’s just you, a six pack, nature, and maybe a couple of your buddies. But exciting? Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s not a word I would use when referring to fishing.
Well, this new sport called Skarping might just make fishing exciting. By adding the thrill of water skiing to fishing, the sport has actually a lot of chances to become more popular, at least in the online environment. While this is definitely not a sport for everybody (I know my grandpa is much better off sticking to the old-fashioned way of fishing), it sure looks like a lot of fun!
