Everybody knows that Pink is one of the greatest celebrities in the world right now! Her strong, powerful voice is truly incredible, but what many people probably don’t know is that the one who inspired her love for music is actually her dad.
A Vietnam veteran, her dad has always used music as an outlet to express himself and his emotions. What’s more, the man actually wrote a song more than 40 years back when fighting in Vietnam. The song, which Pink describes as a “soldier’s cry,” is a beautiful ballade that will definitely bring tears to your eyes.
The lyrics of the song are so genuine and so raw that it will give you goosebumps.
In the video below, you can see Pink and her dad perform the song for the first time ever. This was her dad’s first time singing in front of an audience as well, so it was definitely a special moment not only for him but for Pink also.
Needless to say, the audience was in disbelief throughout the song, and I’m guessing you will be too.
