Dogs are a woman’s best friends. I know that is not exactly how the saying goes, but maybe it should. Dogs are proving to be reliable allies of women who are victims of physical abuse. Amanda knows the devastating consequences of domestic abuse very well, and how getting hit by someone you love can scar you for life. Unlike many victims of abuse, Amanda managed to get out of her abusive relationship. She says much of her decision to finally leave her abusive boyfriend was influenced by her best friend, a dog she found on Craigslist. This is their incredible story:
