There has been a lot of media coverage lately of incidents that portray police officers as being overly-abusive towards different citizens around different states of the country. This has unfortunately led to an increase in violence level towards police officers.
This is a particularly big problem in cities like Detroit that have been going downhill for a while now and where violent incidents are unfortunately a daily occurrence. But that doesn’t mean there are no more kind and compassionate police officers out there who really care about serving and protecting the people in the community.
These people deserve all the respect in the world for the work they do, but, more often than not, they don’t get the recognition they deserve. But that can change, and we all make our contribution to this process.
If you need some inspiration, you can take it from the little girl in the video below. She decided to skip the cake and presents and spend her birthday with the police officers from the Detroit PD. What’s more, the 9-year-old brought bagged lunches for all the officers to surprise them and thank them for their hard work! Everybody needs to see this!
