Wouldn’t it be nice if you could grow your own food so that you wouldn’t have to worry about pesticides and other harmful additives that might be dangerous to your health and the health of your family? And since we’re at it, wouldn’t be also nice to stop giving lots and lots of money to your electrical company?
Sounds like a dream, right? Well, a family in Stockholm, Norway, has found a way to turn their dream into a reality, and don’t think they are some sort of extravagant millionaires with a lot of time on their hands.
With the average temperature in Stockholm in January being -3°C (27°F), Marie Granmar and Charles Sacilotto thought of a way to keep warm during the cold months without having to increase their energy expenses.
They’ve managed to do so by building a greenhouse that blankets their home. The greenhouse not only helps them heat up their home, but it also allows the family to grow their own food.
