It’s summer and you know what that means; the temperatures are off the roof! One area in the United States where it gets particularly hot is Arizona. Summers in Arizona get so hot that many people don’t even let their pets walk on the sidewalk without some sort of protection.
There are many ways to fight against the scorching heat in the summer, but unfortunately, not everybody is fortunate enough to be able to leverage them. Homeless people, for instance, have to cope with extreme heat on a day-to-day basis and they have little to no resources to do so.
Some of them don’t even have a pair of shoes on to offer them minimum protection against the burning sidewalk. It was the case of the homeless man in the video below, but luckily for him, a kindhearted stranger stepped in to help him.
When he saw there was a homeless man who had collapsed to the hot ground, David Lee Witherspoon knew he couldn’t just do nothing. The man has always strived to do the right thing, and it wasn’t about to stop now.
The homeless man was wearing socks on his hands to try and somehow crawl outside the hot asphalt, but he wasn’t making any progress. Without giving it a second thought, David took a bottle of water from his car and began to wash the man’s feet to help him cool down and relieve his pain.
Someone managed to snap a photo that capture’s David’s incredible gesture, and posted it online. Everybody should see this.
