Flight Engineer 52 on International Space Station (ISS), NASA’s astronaut Jack Fischer has obtained this photo of aura from terrestrial orbit from an altitude of over 400 kilometers.
Aurora is an optical phenomenon manifested by a spectacular glow observed in the night sky in regions near polar areas as a result of interaction between solar wind particles and Earth’s magnetic field.
