It never ceases to amaze me how a little love and affection are enough to totally transform a dog’s personality. The video below tells the touching story of Gemma, a beautiful dog whose owners turned her in to the shelter because the dog was sick and they were unwilling to take her to a vet. They just gave up on her. But Gemma was in a lot of pain. Luckily, those at the shelter took her in and provided her with all the medical care she needed to get better. As it turned out, by helping Gemma, the kind-hearted volunteers at the shelter were also saving 5 more lives.
