Valentina Maureira, a 14-year-old girl from Chile, suffers from an extremely serious disease: cystic fibrosis. She was born this way and recently posted a video asking the country’s President to allow her to receive the lethal injection. The teenage girl begs politicians to respect her decision of not wanting to live a tormented life. The girl’s father says that although his daughter’s decision broke his heart, he understands it: “She’s had 5 operations that caused her much pain and suffering. She is much wiser and mature than other children her age. ” Currently, there is no cure for cystic fibrosis.
