Kelly Renee Gissendaner will become the first woman to be executed after seven decades in Georgia. She will receive the lethal injection on 25 February. Apparently, this hasn’t made her lose her appetite. This is what she requested for her last meal: two Burger King Whoppers with cheese; two large orders of fries; cherry vanilla ice cream; popcorn; a salad with boiled eggs, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, carrots, cheese and Newman’s Own buttermilk dressing; and lemonade.
Gissendaner got the death sentence for killing her husband in February 1997. She will be the 14th woman to be executed in Georgia since 1735.
