The terrible things we see in the news each day has made many of us less sensitive and less compassionate when it comes to how we treat other people. In life, you have to be tough to make it; it’s a lesson many of us learn early in life. Maybe that’s the reason why for many drivers who passed by the scene captured in the video below, it was an inconvenience to see a suicidal man perched on a Wyoming overpass for hours.
The man was decided to take his own life after his life took a turn for the worse. The man didn’t see any other way out from his problems. He was overwhelmed, depressed and alone.
But fortunately help came. Two dedicated police women are to thank for convincing the man not to jump from the overpass onto the I-40 that day.
The two women stood there for nearly two hours without backing down. During this time, they used their psychological training as well as their human compassion to convince the man that life is worth living.
It wasn’t easy, but at the end of the two hours, the man decided to give himself another chance and come down from the overpass. Every life is precious.
