Sharon Waldron, a 38 year-old woman, resorted to microdermabrasion, a cosmetic treatment most used by celebrities, in order to get rid of some spots on her skin. A session costs between $80 and $200. Sharon had one treatment done every week for over three years. After the last session, however, her face started to get red, getting a sunburned look and the appearance of orange peel.
Lee Garrett, a dermatologist, says the woman is the only one to blame in this case. Microdermabrasion has to be used occasionally, not every week.
