A 22-year-old woman lived through a nightmare after she woke up one morning and realized her lower lip was extremely swollen. Initially she didn’t give it much importance, but with every passing day her lip became bigger and more painful. She eventually consulted a doctor, but he said it was a simple inflammation that will go away by itself. Later she took matters into her own hands and made a small incision in her lip. She almost fainted when a living worm emerged out of the bulge. Apparently, the parasite had been growing inside her lip for some time.
