A 13-year-old girl lost more than a third of her weight after undergoing stomach surgery this spring. The girl that used to weigh 220 pounds suffered from a rare condition called hypothalamic obesity, a disease causing her to always feel hungry. The disease broke out in 2011,after the girl underwent brain surgery.In a period of 2 years, Alexis gained almost 150 pounds.
After the stomach surgery, she lost a significant amount of weight. The girl is back in school and her mother says her daughter finally feels good for the first time in a long time.
