Cake is great. Getting presents? It’s also great. But what a kid really wants and needs on his/hers birthday is to be around family. Military kids are forced to make all kinds of sacrifices. This means they don’t always get to be with their parents when celebrating important moments in their lives. Tiffany Monroe, a Navy mother of 4, can’t always be around for her kids when they need her to be.
