The circus is not a glamorous place. In many cases, the animals you see on stage are mistreated. The lion in the video below spent more than a decade being forced to perform as part of a travelling circus. During this entire time, the lion was kept in captivity in a small cage that was cleaned only once in a while. This is the touching moment the lion steps outside his cage in more than 13 years and touches the grass for the first time. Using animals for our own entertainment is cruel. Think twice before choosing to support an animal circus by attending their shows.
