But passersby spotted him on a bridge and immediately contacted the authorities who stayed with him until his 2-year-old son and wife got there. The boy was the one who managed to make the man change his mind. ‘At the end when he started calling his dad, it seemed to get through to him and then the two fell into each other’s arms,’ said a witness.
