If You Happen to See a Scarf Tied Up Around Your Town This Holiday – Here’s What It Means

This is the time of the year when most of us feel more generous and more willing to do good than ever. So if you want to do a kind gesture that will actually make an impact, but not have a lot of money or time to donate to a certain cause, then you should find out more about this new trend happening around the country.
More and more people are taking scarves and tying them up around trees and light-poles in their neighborhood, but don’t think they are doing so to make their streets more fashionable and more festive.
The scarves are meant for homeless men and women who are having a hard time keeping warm during this time of the year.

This time of the year is particularly difficult for people living on the streets, because they have few ways to protect themselves against the cold.
So if you have an extra or old scarf that you no longer need, you can make sure it gets to someone who desperately needs it. Simply tie it around a tree or light-pole. Or if you live in an area where it rains a lot, you could also put it in a zip-lock bag to make sure it won’t get wet.

If you like it, share the joy! Make someone’s day better!
