The teenage girl is unable to control herself when she detects even a minor blemish. She enters a trance-like state and starts squeezing her pimples or blackheads even when they don’t really exist. “People ask me what on earth has happened to my face. The truth is I’ve done this to myself and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stop doing it,” said Sam. As a result, she has dozens of scars across her face.
