The dedicated rescuers at Stray Rescue of St. Louis are facing an overwhelming situation. Their shelter is not only filled with a large number of animals, but there is also a constant influx of animals in desperate need of assistance. However, when they received news of a malnourished Doberman Pinscher wandering the streets, they couldn’t bear to abandon the dog to its uncertain fate.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the team at Stray Rescue of St. Louis expressed their sense of being overwhelmed by the state of the world. They described their office, already accommodating 120 animals on-site, along with an additional 14 in crates, and a clinic full of severely emaciated and gunshot victims. Despite the lack of space, the team couldn’t refuse the opportunity to rescue the starving Doberman.
Donna, one of the rescuers, arrived at the scene to find the Doberman displaying a remarkably friendly demeanor. The dog approached her eagerly, wagging his tail. A compassionate individual had reached out to the rescue organization upon witnessing the pitiable condition of the dog. As Donna led the Doberman away, the man called out, “Hope you all get him right.”
