Teen Jamal Rutledge, aged 17, had just been arrested for robbery and was brought to the station by Franklin Foulks, a policeman in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While booking Jamal to jail, the cop suddenly collapsed with a heart attack.
The handcuffed teen realized that something is wrong with the officer. He would have died if Jamal wouldn’t start yelling for help. A defibrillator was rushed into the room and a team of medics arrived at the scene. The officer received medical care and is now out of danger. He wanted to thank the detainee who basically saved his life.
